An expert on my field

Hello everyone: Today I will talk about Miguel Angel Altieri. He studied agriculture at the University of Chile. Later in  l976 Altieri graduated with a M.S. in Agroecology at the National University of Colombia. And finally in 1979 he graduated with a Ph.D. in entomology at the University of Florida. Two years later Miguel became Professor of agroecology at the University of California and he has remained there until today. I like Miguel Altieri because he has promoted agro-ecology as a strategy for sustainable development in Latin America. He has also advised important organizations such as: the Latin American agro-Ecology and Development Consortium (CLADES), he was general Coordinator of the United Nations Development Programme, also Altiri was chairman of the NGO Committee Of the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research, among other things.
